More Than A Friend

           In the morning, Joan went to school as usual. Joan is an American who lives in New York and moved to Korea, because his father worked there. This morning in Seoul was very cold, because it was winter. Joan walked toward to school. Arriving at school, she entered the classroom and read her favorite novel. Joan was a student who attended one of the junior high school in Seoul. Joan always arrive early. Suddenly a student that Joan never known entered the classroom. Joan wondered silently.

            "Who is he? I've never seen him before." Joan said to herself.

            Joan just shut up and said to herself then continued to read novels. Surprisingly, the boy was approached Joan.

            "Hello. Excuse me, it’s  2 C class, right?" He asked.

            "Hi. Yes, right. Who are you?" Asked Joan with curiosity.

            "My name is Kai. I'm new transfer student from Washington D.C. What's your name?" Asked Kai on Joan.

            "My name is Joan. Oh, you're American? I'm American, too." Joan replied.

            "Wow! Serious? So, may I be your friend?" Asked Kai.

            "Yes! Of course, Kai." Joan replied happily.

            "Nice to meet you, Joan." Kai said with smiled.

            After the class was over, she went to Kai and invited him to the cafeteria to chating. Joan and Kai got closer from then on. Every morning Kai waiting for Joan at the bus stop to go to school together, and help each other. Until they both were got best rated in class together. One day, Kai meet a girl and have relationship with her. At that time, with slowly their friendship between Kai and Joan began to fade as time passed. Kai felt happier with the love and the girl. On the other hand, his educational career and his friendship was ruining. Kai did not realize it.

            And in the end, the girl was leaving Kai without any reason and prefer to another man. However, everything is destroyed. Education career has been destroyed, his friendships with Joan has been broken, because Kai away for no reason from Joan who had been good friends and are like family. But Joan was not overly concerned about it, because Joan knew Kai will definitely regret it all. And it’s  proved correct.

            In that cold afternoon, Joan rushed to come home because she felt very cold and make her will freeze. Suddenly Kai pursue Joan and approached her. Joan stoped but she didn’t say anything on Kai. Kai tried to speak but Joan as ignore it and Joan left Kai. Kai tried to chase but Joan Joan shouted.

            "Stop! Don’t chase me anymore." Joan said.

            Kai stopped chase her. But guilt and remorse haunt Kai. Kai went to Joan's house with brought Joan’s favorite novel as a apology gift. Kai knocked Joan’s house, and Joan's mother told her to get in. Joan met Kai in the living room. Kai expressed remorse and apology to Joan.

            "Joan, I'm sorry I've been away from you because I feel I'm happier with her at the time. I feel sorry for you, I'm so sorry. I realized I was wrong." Clearly Kai.

            "Kai, I've already forgiven you. Indeed, I was a little disappointed, but I know you'll see for yourself which one is actually the best for you. As a good friend, before you apologize I've already forgiven you, Kai." Joan replied.

            "Thank you so much Joan. I will make it a lesson for the future. Thank you for always with me whatever happens. I’m so lucky to have a good friend like you. But, from now will you be more than a friend to me?” "Kai said with give the prize to Joan.

            “Aren’t this too much, Kai?” Asked Joan.

            “Not at all, Joan. Honestly, I’ve been in love with you but I’m not yet believe in you. But now I believe in you. So?” Asked Kai again.

            “Ok. I will, Kai.” Replied Joan with smiled.

            And finally the both of them struggled to finish school and until they graduate from junior high school in Seoul with a predicate of the top students and get a scholarship to high school together the best schools in Seoul.
